As nonprofits, the mission drives everything we do. But to reach your goals, you need more than drive: You need a map that addresses every facet of your nonprofit—including everything you do, every asset you possess, and every objective you aim for—as well as how to fit them together to make the greatest possible impact. During this course, you will learn to apply effective nonprofit leadership and management practices to inform strategic thinking and action. You will also learn to use organizational planning and project management, including an ability to identify, assess and formulate appropriate strategies and plans.
At the end of this course participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate how to take a proper assessment of your nonprofit and what a high performing nonprofit is
- Explain what it means to ‘manage the mission’ using leadership skills
- Compare models and frameworks for both social entrepreneurship and social enterprise
