ACCT 210 | Nonprofit Financial Analysis

This course provides an overview of the primary financial statements: Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Activities, Statement of Functional Expenses, and Statement of Cash Flow. Learn how the statements interrelate and how your operational decisions impact them, how to make cost allocations to programs, and how to produce the most informative combination of reports for the management team and board.

April 2 Class: Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, this class will be offered online via Zoom. Registrants will be emailed the day before their class with detailed instructions and the Zoom meeting link. Please note the time for the Zoom classes will be provided in the email.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course, you will be able to:
  • Explain key decisions and tasks necessary to create useful financial statements.
  • Identify the key components of the four basic financial statements: Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Activities, Statement of Functional Expenses, and Statement of Cash Flow.
  • Use ratios and other tools to analyze financial statements.
