Member Event Series | Breakfast Bites

Join us on the second Friday of each month for our new series of “small bite” conversations, each covering a different aspect of fundraising.

We all know that fundraising is evolving alongside changes in demographics and technology. At GCN, we work with hundreds of nonprofits over the course of a year, and we see firsthand the shifts that are occurring. To help you navigate them, we’re bringing our members together for a series of short, spirited sessions on specific topics.

Bring your questions, comments, and ideas to share – we’ll bring information on best practices and tips for becoming more effective. Pencil us in for the second Friday of the month, and join us when you can. We will have coffee, muffins, and a brief presentation ready to get the conversation going.

Unable to attend? Or just need a refresher? Several sessions will be available online, exclusively for members.

Segmentation is a must when working with a range of donor demographics, values, and motivations for giving. Learn about the importance of segmentation, how to use data to target your donors, and the information you should be collecting to keep improving that data. We’ll cover the basic differences that go into raising money from each generation, how demographics are refocusing the fundraising pyramid, and what you can gain from the new “cyclone” model.

Storytelling is the way we engage now. Learn how storytelling is done best – ultimately raising more money from your supporters – with lessons from experts and top consultants in donor communications and video production. Join a lively discussion to hear how organizations are changing their approach to storytelling to reflect the donor journey and improve their call for individual donations, as well as the storyboarding (and other prep work) organizations are getting underway as early as June to get ready for their end-of-year appeal.
