Georgia State University - School of Social Work
Community Projects
Deadline: September 20, 2014
GSU School of Social Work requests proposals from Atlanta area agencies/organizations/nonprofits to have second year Masters students work with them on a community project. Projects involve groups of 4-5 students that partner with an agency to plan, implement, and evaluate a community project. Projects will be selected and conceptualized this fall. Implementation of projects will be January to April 2015.



Submissions open: August 26 - September 30
There's a new storytelling campaign - Storymakers 2014 - from TechSoup that launches August 26, 2014. Submit your social good story to TechSoup Storymakers during the month of September for a chance to win up to $13,000 in prizes, have your video showcased across the TechSoup global network. $13,000 in prizes available.

Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta
Nonprofit Scholarships
Deadline: Ongoing
Scholarship opportunities are available for nonprofit staff and board members to attend professional and organizational development workshops and trainings (including GCN's Nonprofit University). Through this opportunity, The Community Foundation will cover the cost of attendance for workshops, trainings and conferences for selected programs.

Strategic Restructuring Fund

The purpose of the Strategic Restructuring Fund is to provide funds and/or management consulting services to support nonprofits as they assess, negotiate, design and/or implement substantive strategic restructuring efforts that seek to promote more effective operations and high-performing programs based on community needs and assets.  

Connect 4 Mental Health
2014 Community Innovation Awards
Deadline: October 3
Connect 4 Mental Health® (C4MH) will issue four $10,000 awards to U.S.-based community programs exhibiting innovative work in the four C4MH  pillars — early intervention, creative use of technology, continuity of care, and service integration (one winner in each pillar).

Fund for Shared Insight
Grants to Improve Philanthropy
Deadline: October 15
The fund will award grants of one to three years in duration to nonprofit organizations in support of efforts to encourage and incorporate feedback from the people they are seeking to help; understand the connection between feedback and better results; foster more openness between and among foundations and grantees; and share what social sector organizations learn. Nonprofit organizations may apply for grants in three categories: practice, research, and support.

Fitch Charitable Foundation
Fellowships for Mid-Career Professionals in Preservation and Related Fields
Deadline: October 15
Research grants of up to $15,000 will be awarded to one or two mid-career professionals who have an academic background, professional experience and an established identity in one or more of the following fields: historic preservation, architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, environmental planning, architectural history and the decorative arts.
