An important note from Click&Pledge about your account

At Click & Pledge, we take pride in providing our customers with the most robust online fundraising platform at the least amount of money. Our fundraising platform includes a product for giving days, GiveBig®, upon which is hosted. We aim to provide our customers with the least amount of fees possible. 

Recently, we were notified of an annual Merchant Location Fee of $15 that is to be charged to every active Click & Pledge account. We understand the capital challenges that many nonprofits face, so we have created a new pricing option for GAgives participants that wish to avoid the annual location fee.

What is the Merchant Location Fee?

Beginning in 2016, credit card companies added an annual location fee of $15 to all merchant bank accounts. Our merchant bank provider TSYS worked with us and was able to waive this fee for our customers for the last two years. This year they are no longer able to waive the fee. This fee will be billed in December 2018 and withdrawn in January 2019.

We have also had questions from organizations that have multiple locations asking if they will be assessed the location fee multiple times. The answer is “no.” The location fee is assessed per merchant bank account, so one TSYS merchant bank account = one location fee.

New Pricing Option Available after GAgives on #GivingTuesday

While many of our customers will not mind the $15 Location Fee, we know there are some who will want to avoid the fee if possible.

Starting in December 2018, Click & Pledge will be offering a new pricing plan option to all GAgives participants that does not incur the $15 Location Fee. GAgives participants will be able to move to our standard pricing plan. The pricing is 3.75% + $0.37 per transaction + $1.50/per batch deposit and, as with our standard plan, we continue to offer all GAgives customers no setup or monthly fees.

From Friday, Nov. 30 to Dec. 14, participating GAgives nonprofits may change to the standard pricing plan to avoid the $15 Location Fee. Dec. 14 is the deadline to switch to the standard pricing plan to avoid the Location Fee charge for this year. Beginning Friday, November 30, we will be sending email notices with instructions to make the pricing plan change.

What changes you can expect by opting into the new pricing plan:

  • The standard plan continues to include automatic direct deposit of funds to your bank account.
  • Fees are deducted at time of bank deposit.
  • You will no longer receive paper statements from TSYS.  You will be able to access deposit reports through your Click & Pledge Connect reports.
