The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, in partnership with GCN, have selected 45 Westside Atlanta nonprofits to take part in Momentum:Westside. Selected nonprofits were invited to take part in one of the program’s two group tracks.
The Core Group will work through an array of training seminars, personalized business coaching and consulting, and deep leadership training. In addition, annual financial support will be provided to aid in the execution of necessary practices and investments needed for becoming higher impact nonprofits.
The Community Group will have access to hands-on training, networking, and year-long programs focused on management, leadership and governance training.

Momentum:Westside CORE GROUP
The Vine City Civic Association's primary goal is to coordinate and facilitate the housing, economic, environmental, and commercial revitalization of the Vine City area.
Founded in 1995 and incorporated in 2003, ITCDC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is committed to transforming the communities of the English Avenue and Vine City by building a strong and healthy neighborhoods through advocacy, leveraging of resources, community organizing and direct services that will stimulate holistic community development. Through empowerment mechanisms we promote positive change and self-sufficiency to enhance the quality of life for the benefit of those we serve.
The mission of Raising Expectations is to educate, engage and empower youth in challenging circumstances by providing them with opportunities to build strong academic skills, leadership skills and self-esteem. Raising Expectations sets high standards of excellence by raising the academic, social and civic expectations of each child, while exposing them to the world of opportunity beyond their neighborhoods and encouraging children to become critical thinkers.

The mission of our organization to make an impact on the residents of Vine City and English Avenue by feeding the hungry, housing the homeless and bringing hope to the hopeless.
Meet holistic needs of Under-served populations through music and art while seeking to protect the environment - the foundation of music and art. Under-served includes people with disabilities, inmates (especially those with children) and people who live in rural non-urban communities. Holistic includes providing safe/affordable housing, creating change agents, and providing job creation/financial literacy.
Actor's Express is a theatre that challenges and reflects contemporary human experiences in an inclusive environment. We seek to jumpstart individual transformations through the shared adventure of our live performances, which range from daringly provocative to audaciously hilarious.
Antioch Urban Ministries, Incorporated (AUMI) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), charitable organization founded in 1990 as an advocacy agent which provides comprehensive substance abuse recovery services to persons who are homeless, low income, recently released from incarceration and/or are living with HIV/AIDS. In addition AUMI provides essential services to families throughout Metropolitan Atlanta and surrounding areas through our food and clothing bank, internet access, job search and other social support services
Our mission is to increase reading comprehension, reading speed and vocabulary through our after school program and Super Saturday. These two programs work in concert with each other to help us achieve our goals. We employ creative and fun methods of teaching. We want to instill a joy of reading into every child who attends.

Central Community Services, Inc. (Central CSI) is a resource and service center that uplifts and empowers people in Atlanta’s Westside Communities to live abundantly. Central CSI was established in 2005 as an expansion of Central UMC Atlanta’s community outreach (including programs and services such as Youth Enrichment Program and Food Pantry). Central CSI focuses on education & enrichment programs; referral & support services; and civic engagement & community service initiatives to improve the quality of living in Atlanta’s Westside Communities!

Create Your Dreams (CYD) is a long-term, youth development program dedicated to nurturing the talents and dreams of children living in underserved areas of Atlanta. We provide the resources, opportunities, and relationships required for children living in poverty to reach their potential and create a brighter future.
The Field of Dreams Academy is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, incorporated in the State of Georgia. Our primary mission is to EDUCATE, EXPOSE and ENDOW opportunities to underserved youth who have the talent, passion and skill to excel in non-traditional sports. These non-traditional sports are baseball, lacrosse, soccer, hockey and auto racing. Additionally, our focus is to EXPAND their knowledge in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), so these student-athletes can excel academically." Our goal is for each student-athlete who participates in the Field of Dreams Academy to have a positive impact on his community. They participate in various outreach programs that allow them to become a positive contributor to our society. The Field of Dreams Academy knows that we can make better communities, which lead to a better society, ultimately leading to a better world!

First Step focuses on developing a sustainable source of income and health insurance for individuals transitioning from homelessness through two programs: Staffing, a transitional jobs program for individuals who can work, and Benefits, a program for individuals with severe disabilities that prevent them from maintaining employment. We collaborate closely with over twenty healthcare, housing, and service organizations. First Step serves over 600 people annually, generating $1.3 million in income for our clients—income that continues well beyond our engagement with them.

To craft viable means of sustaining and upgrading Lillian Cooper Shepherd Park status from a block park to a community park through strategic planning, data analysis, leadership, and organizational development, in support of life-long multigenerational functions.
The mission of Fulton County CASA is to recruit, train and supervise community volunteers to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children that are involved with the Juvenile Court System. CASA volunteers seek to find safe and permanent homes for young victims as soon as possible, simultaneously ensuring that each child's needs are met while in foster care. Our community volunteers provide individualized advocacy to children who otherwise get lost in an overburdened legal system. We are committed to representing the best interest of our child victims in Fulton County.
