About Vic

Vic McCarty serves as Managing Partner of McCarty Collaborative Consulting, LLC, offering consultation services to nonprofits, schools, and faith-based organizations. Since 2000, Vic has been involved in nonprofit organizations and fundraising, where he has been creating and improving signature events, managing budgets and timelines, and working closely with planning committees and volunteers.

In addition, Vic has a strong background in building events in statewide market areas. He possesses extensive knowledge, skills, and expertise in the areas of signature event planning and coordination of event logistics, goal setting, building relationships with stakeholders, working with the Board of Directors, management of volunteers, and training of staff. 

Vic also has a strong background in strategic and visionary planning, engaging community stakeholders, securing charitable support from corporations, and providing training for event committees and volunteers. He has worked with business executives, community leaders, college students, and internal staff on creating and implementing signature events as well as developing vision plans and timelines for signature events. Vic has worked with several nonprofit youth organizations, serving as both a volunteer and staff member. 

Vic is responsible for creating the Trot to Clot Walk event for Hemophilia of Georgia, and expanded Walk For Wishes events for Make-A-Wish Georgia throughout Georgia. He has extensive knowledge of events such as golf tournaments, galas, luncheons, auctions, dinner events, and walk events.

As a faculty member for Nonprofit University, Vic provides course instruction in fundraising, events management, working with board members and volunteers, and securing corporate support. In addition, McCarty Collaborative Consulting, LLC has provided support for clients including GCN, Good Works Project-Columbus, Healing Hands Youth Ranch, HouseProud Atlanta, and Hemophilia of Georgia.

Vic resides in Marietta with his wife, Shanie, and two kids. He enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering with Georgia 4-H and Lovinggood Middle School, and serves on the Cheatham Hill Educational Foundation Board.
