GCN Announces Kathy Keeley as New Executive VP of Programs

The Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN) has named Kathy Keeley, former Executive Director of All About Developmental Disabilities, as its new Executive Vice President of Programs. Keeley assumes the role in October, replacing Chris Allers, who is stepping down after three years in the role.

Keeley’s long and illustrious career includes being the Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Minneapolis; leading a number of nonprofits; and 15 years of consulting work for city governments, corporations, and nonprofits.

“Kathy brings an extensive range of experiences, along with an 18-year history of working with GCN. We’re excited to bring her on board,” said Karen Beavor, president and CEO of GCN.

Keeley will continue the legacy of impact started by Allers. His accomplishments include helping to launch the Momentum, a cohort style consulting program involving nearly 200 nonprofits, heading up design and delivery for Nonprofit University’s Development Institute, and coaching executive teams in Leading for Impact Atlanta, a partnership between GCN and The Bridgespan Group. Allers will continue working with GCN through 2017, teaching and advising on select projects.

“Chris has been an integral part of GCN’s growth and expansion throughout Georgia, and a tremendous partner to me and our team -- not to mention the many nonprofits and donors he’s worked with through the years,” said Beavor.
