Important Updates

3/27: The Georgia Department of Labor has issued a new rule related to unemployment due to COVID-19. Click here to get detail on critical Information for GA Nonprofits considering staff reduction.

Legislative updates

3/27, 2:30 pm: Both houses of congress have now given their final approval to the $2 trillion CARES Act, which will now go to the President for signing. We will post details as they relate to nonprofits soon; in the meantime, you can read about the major provisions.

3/24: New Georgia Dept. of Labor guidelines require employers to file partial unemployment claims on behalf of employees working less than regular hours. Learn more.


GCN program updates

3/16 - 4/30: Events and Nonprofit University (NU) courses will be offered online via Zoom. 

Registrants will be emailed the day before their classes with detailed instructions, updated class time, and Zoom meeting link. 

GCN is actively monitoring information from the CDC and health department, and we understand that the situation is fluid. We plan to post updates and be in contact with any changes regarding rescheduling or moving additional classes to remote sessions.
