VP, Consulting Services
Ms. Cheatham is a recognized Atlanta community leader. She was a nominee for WIT's Woman of the Year in Technology and was selected to participate in the 2010 class of Leadership Atlanta. As VP of Consulting Services for the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, Ms. Cheatham leads strategic consulting services for the center, providing services directly to clients and also overseeing contracted consulting services provided directly to nonprofits through foundation technical assistance programs. Most recently, Ms. Cheatham was Venture Catalyst and Director of Business Development at the Advanced Technology Development Center (www.ATDC.org), a nationally recognized science and technology incubator affiliated with Georgia Tech where she provided strategic advice to business owners to help them succeed.Ms. Cheatham is also a former management consultant with Bain & Company where her work included strategic consulting for dozens of companies including pro bono projects for youth service organization City Year and the community development finance Enterprise Corporate of the Delta. Ms. Cheatham also previously ran the corporate programs of New York Cares where she helped corporations with community involvment initiatives.Ms. Cheatham sits on numerous boards including the Montgomery Elementary Executive Committee where she helped to restructure the board and more than triple the PTA's annual budget. She is also a co-founder and board member of StartupChicks which provides support for women entrepreneurs. She serves on the Executive Officer team of the Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta where she is co-chairing the 2010 Community Leadership Dinner (CLD) which raises money to send nonprofit leaders to HBS executive education programs. Ms. Cheatham is the contributing editor, social enterpreneurship to TechDrawl (a leading blog for emerging growth companies in the Southeast). Ms. Cheatham previously led the strategic planning process and board committee for Southface Energy Institute. She also led growth of a pro bono nonprofit consulting organization, Community Consulting Teams (cctatlanta.org) staffed by MBA's where she assisted dozens of nonprofits with strategic management issues.Ms. Cheatham is a frequent speaker and program moderater and facilitator and has developed and led the award-winning management development programs. Ms. Cheatham is an honors graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and she received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
