GAgives on #GivingTuesday Campaign Kickoff Event

It's time for our annual GAgives campaign launch event, bringing together participating nonprofits with peers, experts, and GCN’s GAgives team for a morning of knowledge-sharing and camaraderie as we get ready to make this our state's biggest day of giving yet!

The best fundraising campaigns—traditional or online—combine incentive funds, challenge gifts, a clear communication strategy, and personalized touch-points to tell a compelling story that inspires and activates current and new supporters. In this special two-part event designed for your executive, development, and communications teams, we'll take a deep dive into how to make that happen. We’ll hear from a panel of seasoned campaign professionals first, then follow with breakout sessions to talk tactics about how to build community buzz, leverage challenge and matching grants, and optimize your GAgives profile to engage and expand your donor base through your campaign.

This first-come, first-served event is complimentary to all GCN members and GAgives participants.

Rally & Group Photo

Start the day by participating in our inaugural GAgives on #GivingTuesday group photo. You’ll be part of our 2017 public-facing campaign AND be entered in a drawing** to win $500 for your favorite nonprofit!

Check in at the Equitable Building front lobby, then head just across Peachtree to the Woodruff Park "waterfall" and join the crowd!

Connect with peers and join our first photo session with our new campaign signs while you wait and get the social buzz started! (hashtag combo: #GAgives on #GivingTuesday)

Breakouts

Following the panel, join us for an interactive exchange focused on tactics that will socialize and supercharge your individual giving campaign:

SESSION 1:
Max your Gifts! Increase donations through
challenge and matching gifts on GAgives

When it comes to Giving Day campaigns, building in incentives encourages potential donors to give, or even increase, their giving, as well as inspire others, expanding your circle of supporters. Even a small amount of money can boost your results. Join this session to learn how to leverage your end-of-year campaign to activate even more donors to your cause; create your own donor challenges and matching gifts leveraging our Max My Gift Challenge tools and techniques; and organize games to make your promotions fun, exciting, and engaging to both your traditional supporters and new audiences.

Session Leaders:
Karen Beavor, President and CEO, GCN
Ankur Chatterjee, Board President, Enduring Hearts
