Stewards of Children Sexual Abuse Prevention Training - Statesboro, GA

The Georgia Center for Child Advocacy brings you Stewards of Children, a revolutionary sexual abuse prevention training program developed by the non-profit organization Darkness to Light. This program educates adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly towards child sexual abuse. The program is designed specifically for organizations that serve children and adolescents, providing prevention training for staff, volunteers, and other interested adults. The three hour program teaches seven principles of sexual abuse prevention through an interactive video, workbook and group discussion.

Stewards of Children is the only nationally available program scientifically proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes and change child-protective behaviors. This program is for any responsible adult who cares about the welfare of children. It is also appropriate for youth-serving organizations (sports leagues, day care centers, after school programs, children’s clubs, church groups and more).

After the training, your organization will understand:

• The importance of screening staff/volunteers who work with children and adolescents
• The importance of minimizing one-adult/one-child situations and developing well-conceived policies in youth-serving organizations that support this
