Consulting Services | Organizational Development

The purpose of an organizational assessment is to help your organization build a strong organizational infrastructure so that you can effectively deliver services and programs to your constituency. An organizational assessment gives your board and staff the opportunity to look together at your management and governance practices, helping identify the organization's strengths and areas that need improvement. Here are a few of our key steps in assessing your organization:

  • Gather information on organization governance and management practices.
  • Consultant works with executive director, board, and other stakeholders to reach a consensus on strengths and challenges and to identify priority areas to strengthen.
  • Stakeholders reach a consensus on action steps.
  • Consultant compiles and documents the consensus reached by the organization and recommendations for strengthening.
  • Consultant meets with the board chair and executive director to evaluate the assessment process and to offer any further recommendations for strengthening the organization's capacity.
