The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities has released a new report, “President’s Budget Would Cut Deeply Into Important Public Services and Adversely Affect States,” arguing that the President’s proposed domestic discretionary funding levels would significantly reduce funding to a variety of programs in the areas of education, environmental protection, community development, and more.
CBPP concludes that, if adopted, the budget would “effectively shift billions of dollars in costs on to states, requiring them to scale back key public services or raise taxes to plug the holes left by the federal cuts.” More >> Source: Tax Analysts
