House Appropriations Committees Will Change From Last Year

Speaker Richardson announced today that the House Appropriations Committees would change from last year.  You will recall that Rep. Jeff Brown (R-LaGrange) chaired the House Appropriations' Health Subcommittee which oversaw the Budget proposals for the Departments of Community Health and Human Resources.  This year, this Subcommittee will be split into two Subcommittees. 

The new chairs of the Subcommittees will be:
 
Department of Community Health - Rep. Mickey Channell (R-Greensboro)
Department of Human Resources - Rep. Mark Butler (R-Carrollton)
 
Rep. Ben Harbin (R-Evans) will remain the Chair of the full House Appropriations Committee.
