Legislators returned to the Capitol today at 1:00 p.m. Some of the biggest news was the House Appropriations Committee voting out its recommendations on the Supplemental FY 2005 Budget.
On the House Floor, HB 67, the bill by Rep. Ehrhart which deals with the Druid Hills Country Club's concern on benefits extended to gay partners, cleared the House by a vote of 124 to 39. Many Metro-Atlanta Legislators opposed the bill. The measure now goes to the Senate for its review.
The Senate passed SB 55, the State Board of Accountancy changes, and SB 68, the changes relating to Real Estate Appraisers' continuing education requirements. Read full report.
