Senate Rejects Cuts to Medicaid, Boosts Discretionary Spending

The Senate voted to strip out of the Senate budget resolution instructions to the Finance Committee to cut $15 billion from Medicaid. The amendment passed 52 to 48. The House resolution contains a $20 billion cut that would primarily apply to Medicaid.
