Panel on the Nonprofit Sector Invites Comments in Preparation for June Report

Since the Panel on the Nonprofit Sector released its Interim Report on March 1, the more than 100 members of its five Work Groups and the Expert Advisory Group have held a series of meetings and email exchanges on issues such as compensation, tax shelters, and travel policies.

To allow interested people to add their input on those topics, the Panel has convened 15 field hearings around the country, and it has encouraged organizations and individuals to send in comments throughout the process. The Panel has also met during this period and has invited further guidance from the Work Groups and Expert Advisory Group.

The Panel is now asking for comments by May 19, 2005, on new draft recommendations based on the deliberations of the Work Groups and the Expert Advisory Group.

These recommendations, which have not been formally reviewed by the Panel, are now posted for public comment on the Panel website, www.NonprofitPanel.org. Also visit this site to post comments.
