Nonprofit University Certificate Programs

Nonprofit University (NU) is pleased to announce that it will be awarding management certificates in the following areas:

  • Essentials of Nonprofit Management and Leadership
  • Introduction to Nonprofits
  • Strategic Planning
  • Essentials of Fundraising
  • Essentials of Nonprofit Board Governance
  • Essentials of Human Resources
  • Essentials of Marketing

These certificates provide affordable, practical and accessible information to people working in and with the nonprofit sector, whether they are paid staff, directors, board members, philanthropists or volunteers.  It integrates Nonprofit University’s commitment to academic excellence with the practical wisdom of the instructors and the realistic work experience of the participants.

Certificates are designed for professionals seeking career advancement in nonprofit organizations, board members and volunteers seeking additional skills, or those in private industry or government jobs exploring the possibility of a new career in nonprofit management.

The Certificate is earned at the completion of attending and participating in all courses within the certificate program. There are no admissions requirements for the Certificate, and no grades or exams. Thus, attendance at every class is required. Partial attendance in any class does not count toward the Certificate.

Students who register for a Certificate program can look forward to engaging, hands-on sessions that directly apply to their day-to-day work. All are taught by professors and instructors with substantial experience in their field. Classes are conveniently located at GCN’s facility in downtown Atlanta, making them easily accessible via public transportation or car.
