GCN has partnered in the past with Georgia State University's Nonprofit Studies Program and Emory University's Goizueta Business School to design and offer executive development programs for senior and emerging leaders in the nonprofit sector.  These premier programs bring together the unique talents of faculty, industry leaders, and other subject matter experts to present participants with cutting edge courses that build on and enhance management and leadership knowledge, skills and aptitudes.

The 2007 Executive Leadership Program for Nonprofit Organizations (ELPNO) was held June 25-29 at the Emory Conference Center Hotel.  38 nonprofit sector executive level leaders attended from diverse settings and locations.  The program received high praise and alumni expressed a strong interest in future similar programs.  Two executives offered testimonials to attest to the quality and value of the June 07 program.

"My participation in GCN's ELPNO was the best professional development experience of my career.  The program sharpened my focus, deepened my knowledge base and re-energized my commitment to the important work of leading a nonprofit organization."  (Robert Lawrence, Ph.D., Executive Director, Georgia Head Start Association)

"ELPNO was a great experience for me.  It was an opportunity for me and other leaders of nonprofit organizations to learn from each other and from authorities in nonprofit.  Sharing the challenges and opportunities that I face daily in a 'safe' environment allowed me to gather input from my peers and nonprofit experts and develop solutions.  Being a leader in a nonprofit organization can be a lonely place, but ELPNO showed me that others face the same problems and introduced me to a network of peers that I may have never met."  (Lisa Andujar-Ray, Senior Director Development and Marketing, Samaritan House of Atlanta)

2008 ELPNO
