John EatonOrganization Development and Management Consultant John Eaton has over 25 years of nonprofit organization development and management experience. His work has ranged from directing community-based cultural and educational programs, to funding cultural organization throughout the nine Southeastern states, to delivering organizational development services to federal agencies. John is the president of The Institute for Nonprofit Management Inc. (INM), an Atlanta-based organizational development consulting firm.
He has served as executive director of the Georgia Lawyers for the Arts (1980--1990), director of regional arts development for the Southern Arts Federation (philanthropy 1985--1988), deputy director of the Neighborhood Arts Center (1975--1980), director of the Southside Branch of the Butler Street YMCA (1980--1981), and project director of EXODUS Inc. of Atlanta (1972--1975), now called “Communities In Schools.”
John specializes in organizational development with emphasis on formation issues -- corporation and tax exemption -- and strategic planning. He has conducted board development training and strategic planning for organizations such as 100 Black Men of Atlanta and the United States Department of the Interior.
John earned his J.D. from Atlanta Law School, Georgia State University. He has related educational training in mediation from American Arbitration Association and Resolutions Inc. as well as from numerous seminars in all areas of organizational development. |
