Jessie S. BondOrganizational Development and Fund Development Consultant Jessie Bond is a nonprofit consultant and writer specializing in organizational development and fund development, with professional experience spanning more than 25 years.
Jessie’s consulting practice focuses on services for nonprofits in the areas of organizational development, fund development and program evaluation. She has conducted organizational assessments, consulted on grant-writing strategy and techniques, and provided direct grant-writing services and program evaluation consulting.
Clients have included True Colors Theatre Company, Initiative for Affordable Housing, Scottdale Child Development & Family Resource Center, Southern Rural Development Initiative, the ALS Association of Georgia, and a variety of nonprofits served through the organizational assessment program coordinated by the Georgia Center for Nonprofits.
Jessie also works regularly with foundations in the Atlanta area, providing assessment, writing and research services. For example, she has assessed grantmaking programs, conducted research on potential grantmaking issues, surveyed foundation grantees, evaluated grant proposals, written reports on grantmaking programs, and developed a grantmaking manual. Her clients have included the Healthcare Georgia Foundation, Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund, Rockdale Foundation and Southeastern Council of Foundations.
In 2000 Jessie began her consulting practice and uses her 10 years of experience on the program staff of The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta and Appalachian Community Fund. She’s worked closely with many nonprofit organizations, and provided writing and editing work at various newspapers over the previous 10 years. She received training in the Technology of Participation group facilitation methods.
Jessie received her M.A. in American government from Georgetown University and a B.A. in political science from Southern Methodist University. She is an associate member of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits and has served on nonprofit boards. |
