Coastal Nonprofit Professionals

A professional development group for coastal nonprofit professionals interested in:

  • Networking, building, and leveraging relationships with other nonprofit professionals
  • Discussing the mutual rewards and challenges in meeting community needs
  • Learning and sharing best practices
  • Learning about additional community nonprofit resources

Mission
Coastal Nonprofit Professionals' mission is to connect and strengthen nonprofit professionals in Coastal Georgia.

Goals
CNP meets monthly to

  • Know the Coastal Georgia nonprofit environment better
  • Network, build and leverage relationships with other nonprofit professionals
  • Share best practices
  • Have fun!

Programs
A service of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, Coastal Nonprofit Professionals (CNP) is new for 2008.  CNP offers  opportuniities each month for both nonprofit professionals and those planning to enter the nonprofit sector to connect and enhance their skills. CNP also opens the door to opportunities for training and leadership development through programs sponsored by the Center.

Networking socials are an excellent opportunity to meet with fellow nonprofit professionals in a fun and relaxing environment.

Coastal Nonprofit Professionals Informational & Networking Meeting (Savannah)

Program: How the Changing Nonprofit Sector is Impacting Nonprofit Careers

The nonprofit sector is undergoing tremendous change - rapid growth, increased competition, shrinking funding sources, professionalization and the of entrepreneurship models. Local nonprofit leaders Beth Larrimore, Executive Director of Savannnah Speech & Hearing Center, Daniel Dodd Executive Director of Step Up! and Chris Miller, founder and CEO of Creative Cities Consulting will speak about the impact of these trends on the local nonprofit community, and how they are changing the skills nonprofit professionals need to develop.
Free dessert samples and Happy Hour Prices on all drinks.
