Leadership Insight, In-Depth Cross-Functional Knowledge, Strategic Thinking, Honed Judgment, Whole-Organization Perspective, Adaptability, Integrity.
These are some of the skills that are required in today’s nonprofit executives who wish to assume tomorrow’s top leadership positions, or who want to more fully participate at an executive level in their organization. To succeed, you must transform yourself from an accomplished specialist to an inspired leader who is capable of realizing a consistent vision across a complex organization.
Too often, professionals in the development role are an overlooked executive asset. While they are often in critical positions, (raising annual operating cash, managing people, influencing program design, managing board committees and cross functional teams), and while they are provided with numerous opportunities to gain functional knowledge within their specialty, they are rarely offered leadership and management development. This executive development is often the difference between good executive performance and great executive performance; good organizational results and great organizational results.
CDO Central was designed exclusively for development Ieaders of nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. CDO Central features programs, tools and resources that empower participants to improve themselves, their organizations and their communities. CDO Central is not designed to teach fundraising skills; rather it focuses on the leadership imperatives critical to success in an executive role.
