Atlanta, GA - 1/19/2010 -
The High-Potential Diverse Leaders Program, presented by American Express and the Georgia Center for Nonprofits and its Nonprofit University®, is a unique leadership development program designed to provide a diverse group of nonprofit professionals with the skills needed to assume executive level responsibilities within the sector.
Specifically, this innovative leadership program is designed to provide participants with:
- Information and management tools they can utilize in their career;
- The opportunity to sharpen their skill sets that are key to nonprofit success;
- A place to re-ignite their passion for the causes and communities they are working to help;
- A well-established peer network within the nonprofit sector
High Potential Diverse Leaders are managers and functional specialists who have been identified by their managers or peers as an outstanding prospect for senior management positions within their organizations or within the nonprofit sector. The select group represents people of diverse backgrounds including, for example, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc. We also seek diversity in geographic representation, nonprofit type, professional function, etc.
Participants must have at least 3 years but no more than 10 years of experience in the sector. Participants must be prepared to fully participate in the year-long program - committing the time and energy to take full advantage of the opportunity, while balancing the demands of their current position.
A limited number of partial scholarships are currently available through the generosity of American Express. For further information on the program and to apply online, click here. All applications must be received by February 10, 2010.
