The competencies taught in this educational system will be presented through the framework of the GEMS volunteer management model by Culp, Deppe, Castillo, and Wells (1998). The G stands for Generating volunteers. In this module, you will learn how to identify your need for volunteers, prepare opportunity descriptions, identify, recruit, screen, and select volunteers.
