Good to Great

Many nonprofit leaders today are convinced that acting and sounding more “like a business” is the answer to the perception that nonprofits are less productive than for profit entities.  Acting and sounding more like a business, for most nonprofit leaders, indicates that you understand and employ discipline in planning, allocating resources, governing and managing people.  However, according to Jim Collins, author of Good to Great, “A culture of discipline is not a principle of business; it is a principle of greatness.”
