This session is divided into four modules in which you will learn:

Investigating Complaints
Investigating employee complaints must be done with an open mind and plenty of forethought. The goal is to gather objective information upon which a good decision can be made.
-What to do when confronted with an employee complaint
-Legal things to keep in mind
-What documentation is recommended

Resolving Coworker Conflicts
Coworker conflicts can create workforce stress that impacts performance and teamwork. It is critical to address them quickly, efficiently, and fairly.
-Dealing with tension or resentment in the work place
-Analyzing conflict and taking remedial action
-Using conflicts as a catalyst for improved performance

Dealing With Problem Employees
Not dealing with a problem employee can create even bigger problems. You must be prepared to identify a plan, confront the behavior, and develop a solution – whatever that may be.
-Identifying the real problem
-Recognizing and managing the risk
-How to turn a difficult employee conversation into a motivating experience

Dispensing Discipline
It’s easy to give the pat on the back for good performance. Much more challenging is dispensing discipline, knowing when it is needed, and doing it in a positive manner.
-Using discipline to educate and elevate behavior, rather than as a punishment
-What documentation is recommended
-Insuring fairness for all
