Programs
A service of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, Atlanta Nonprofit Professionals (ANP) is new and improved for 2009. ANP now offers opportunities each month for both nonprofit professionals and those planning to enter the nonprofit sector to connect and enhance their skills. ANP also opens the door to opportunities for training and leadership development through programs sponsored by the Center.
ANP sponsors two networking events each month: a networking social on third Thursdays and a career-growth event on second Mondays.
Networking socials are an excellent opportunity to meet with fellow nonprofit professionals in a fun and relaxing environment. Career-growth events focus on developing skills for jobseekers and current sector professionals and include educational programs and networking opportunities. ___________________________________________________
ANP March 2010 Career Growth Event:
Topic: Challenges and Strategies for Marketing Nonprofits in Today's Economic Climate
Promoting nonprofit organizations has never been an easy task. However, today’s economic climate makes capturing attention and raising funds much more challenging. How can a nonprofit overcome this challenge to build and strengthen its brand?
On March 8, Ellen Dracos Lemming will join ANP to present marketing ideas and perspectives that can be easily implemented in your organization. Mrs. Lemming’s presentation will focus on how you can apply simple, cost-effective marketing and branding techniques to build and grow your nonprofit organization in the midst of our current economic climate.
Speaker: Ellen Dracos Lemming is an experienced business woman who has spent her 25-year career mastering the many aspects of business, marketing and profitability. She has strong expertise in strategy, branding (both internal and external), organizational assessment, new business development, production, advertising, direct marketing, public relations, licensing, sponsorships and web development. Ellen launched her marketing consultancy, Dracos~Lemming Consulting, in early 2007 and now specializes in assisting clients with strategy, marketing and assessment. Several clients to date include Intercontinental Hotel Group, Entergy Corporation, CNN and Sony. Her non-profit clients have included Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Emory University, Georgia State University, the United Way of Metro Atlanta and The Salvation Army.
