Sometimes it can be hard for you as the Development/Fundraising Officer to establish and then implement a successful fundraising plan. This isn't about writing grants or organizing events, you already do those well, but Bill's training offers a step-by-step evaluation of your current prospecting processes and then the opportunity to implement a daily structure that connects you to the people, corporate partners and power partners who can provide the most value (investment) to the organization.

In this workshop, Bill Young draws from his own experience as an entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, board member and sales professional. He provides a tailored program of step-by-step processes, real world case studies and "a-ha" moments. His book, How Good Nonprofit Officers Become Great Fundraisers, presents a proven system for Development and Executive Directors to transform good officers into great fundraisers. You’ll discover that understanding the targeted profile, following a prospecting system and engaging new opportunities in a professional consultative type of process reaps rewards (increased funds).

Are you concerned or frustrated because:

  • You wear so many hats that prospecting falls down on your priority list?
  • You struggle with setting up your day so you can prospect for new major donors, funding sources and/or sponsors?
  • You create a new relationship only to see it disappear because your follow-up system is broken?
  • You get a contact on the phone or communicate via e-mail and your script is non-impactful?
  • You hear way more "we’ll think it over" or "let us get back to you" than "yes, we’ll sponsor/donate/invest"?
  • You are not receiving the number of referrals and introductions you should be getting?

Attendees will:

  • Use the Fundraising Fire Formula CQ+P³ = Funds to engage and track each potential opportunity
  • Avoid the 12 Assumed Challenges including the eagerness trap
  • Overcome the Lone Wolf Phase & create trust with proven impact questions
  • Articulate the prospect’s pain/gain and focus on real world ROI (articulated in their words, not yours)
  • Manage day-to-day behavior with unique tools
  • Increase individual officer fundraising by 10%, 25%, 50%

Who Should Attend?
New Development Officers and Executive Directors, Fundraising Officers, Major Gift Officers, Event Managers, Corporate Sponsorship and Relationship Managers and Experienced Nonprofit Leaders
