The Goizueta School of Business at Emory University is providing a limited opportunity for pro-bono consulting services to the nonprofit sector.
Teams of business students will be available to consult to nonprofit organizations in the areas of long-term strategy, fund raising, marketing, operations, administration and business development.
These teams will spend 10 weeks in the fall of 2005 working in partnership with their clients and will deliver a recommendation at the end of the process that will address the specific needs and concerns of their clients.
To ensure the successful completion of the assignment, it is imperative that clients commit to the following:
Client Committment
1. Timely access to the student team of people, data, research reports, general support as needed e.g., copying, telephones, long distance calls (if appropriate) and promote return of phone calls.
2. One main contact person with authority within in the organization e.g., executive director, marketing director
3. $150.00 for out-of-pocket expenses--includes development of final report
4. Attendance at three classes
To be considered clients must provide as many of the following client materials that are available:
1. Overview of organization
2. Management list
3. Board list
4. Budget
5. Annual report
6. Meeting location
7. Information about the type of help your organization needs from the consulting team. Project must be able to be accomplished within a 10-week process.
