Board University: Help Strengthen Your Board (June 11, Atlanta)
Sponsored by The Institute for Conservation Leadership and Georgia Center for Nonprofits, this one-day workshop for board members will help improve your board and focus their work. Learn skills and tools that board members need to be effective. Get in-depth training on up to four specific topics that participants choose in advance. Nonprofit Executive Roundtable: What Does Sarbanes-Oxley Mean for Nonprofits?

Finding Solutions: Latinos and the Socioeconomic Development of the Southeast

A policy conference by UGA, in partnership with the Consulates of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia and Chile; Emory University; Kennesaw State University; Georgia State University; the University of South Carolina; CIFAL Atlanta; and GALEO. The 2005 Latino conference will focus on Latino workforce issues and leadership development, and will encourage discussion of potential solutions to barriers to Latino socioeconomic development.
