Forming Corporate Alliances for Win-Win Relationships (June 21, Atlanta)

In this program, learn how to find, obtain, and keep corporate sponsorships. Get advice on how to negotiate and handle issues that nonprofits may face, including finding the right corporate sponsors, establishing the quid pro quo, and evaluating. Georgia’s Stewards of Children: Combat Child Sexual Abuse Training (June 9, Atlanta)
Georgia’s Stewards of Children's facilitator training provides an opportunity to receive information and training to combat child sexual abuse. Upon training, facilitators will be qualified to train other individuals on child sexual abuse. Training authorization fee of $500, and scholarships are available. Nonprofit Congress Seeks Charitable Leaders for National Meeting
On October 16--17, 2006, about 500 nonprofit delegates will gather in the nation’s capital for the Nonprofit Congress national meeting to identify national priorities and create action plans for U.S. nonprofits. Make sure that Georgia nonprofits have a voice by applying to be a delegate today. Nonprofit Congress is an initiative to unite America’s diverse nonprofits. Participate by applying to be a delegate to the national meeting, signing the initiative’s Declaration for America’s Nonprofits, hosting or participating in local town hall meetings across the nation, and providing input through the online discussion forums. Application deadline is May 31, 2006.


Call for Nominations for Georgia Arts & Entertainment Legacy Award (GAELA Award)
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2nd Annual GAELA Award. This award honors people in the field of arts and entertainment--both in front of and behind the scenes--who have made a significant contribution to the vitality and diversity of Georgia's cultural heritage.
