a welcome message from the center's ceo & president

My Dad used to say, “Karen, God gave you two ears and one mouth so that you can listen twice as much as you talk.” Over the past several months, the Georgia Center for Nonprofits has taken this advice to heart as we have been listening to you--through surveys, focus groups and informal conversations--to learn about what is important to you as nonprofit leaders and professionals. Most notably, you asked for information, know-how and solutions that meet your specific needs.

I’m excited to deliver our new Center View to you and your colleagues! Center View is now published twice a month, with a focus on top nonprofit management issues that were identified by nonprofit professionals like you.

It will feature professional development opportunities, a Center member who's doing things to inspire, useful information about funders, important announcements, and the opportunity--through the new “Ask the Expert” section--for you to ask your questions and get answers from community experts. And by delivering content that is customized by your location in the state, we can deliver more targeted information that you want and need.

We hope Center View is a reflection of you, your concerns and needs, your excitement and insight, and your leadership and accomplishments. As always, thank you for all you do, and for allowing us to serve, strengthen and support your nonprofit.

Warmly,
Karen Beavor, CEO & President
