Good nonprofit governance includes paying attention to the "care and feeding" of your board, even if they seem well managed and are reaching positive outcomes. Even high performing boards should be, and probably expect to have their work, evaluated and, if you suspect your board is stale, re-energizing them may be in order.  This course provides a framework for addressing these important aspects of working with your board.

Learning objectives for this course will include:

*Recognizing various approaches to determining if your board is in need of refreshing or re-energizing
*Describing how to plan for a specific assessment and/or evaluation of your board's work and desired outcomes
*Describing various assessment and evaluation tools and processes and how to implement them with your board
*Understanding how to effectively work with the board to institutionalize various aspects of these processes
