Explore how budget, cash flow and financial statements are interconnected to achieve enhanced control over your bottom line and mission outcomes. We will delve into the processes and formats used to accurately capture and reflect institutional operations and priorities. We will also review appropriate methodologies for building capacity and facilitating sound management decision-making. Staff roles and board roles in financial management, as well as useful tools such as a self-assessment tool for checking the soundness of your practices, will be discussed. Plan to use your nonprofit’s financial reports as a basis for exercises (you will no be revealing confidential financial information from your organization).
