How do you directly serve the Center’s members?
Through Opportunity Knocks, I help organize job postings to match potential employees with nonprofit organizations. I also provide customer service to GCN members and nonprofits in general.
What makes Opportunity Knocks unique from other job search sites?
One really unique aspect to Opportunity Knocks is that it is owned and operated by a nonprofit organization. We are all nonprofit workers, so we really know the missions and visions of nonprofits. We are sensitive to the budget concerns in spending money to recruit and hire employees, and we can help the organization save money.
What’s your background before coming to the Center?
I attended Georgia State University where I received a degree in Political Science. I also worked at the Georgia Center for Nonprofits during my senior year of college. Before that, I worked at the Georgia state capitol for various state representatives during the legislative sessions.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I love Japanimation!
What do you like best about your job?
I love when nonprofit organizations post jobs on Opportunity Knocks and I get to go to their website and learn about them. There are so many nonprofit organizations with various missions that are unique and serve the needs of every type of person.
