How do you directly support the members of GCN?
As membership director, I serve as one of the primary sources of information on Georgia’s nonprofit community for the Center’s members. I also help members fully utilize their membership benefits by letting them know about new opportunities and benefits.
What is your background before coming to the Center?
I was born in Wilmington, Delaware. I am a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. I received my B.A.in public relations and marketing at Delaware State University, where I also received my MBA in management. I’m currently pursuing my Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in International Business at Argosy University. I worked as an independent insurance broker for two years, and then served as a transportation logistics account manager before coming to the Center. I’m also an adjunct professor in the School of Business at AIU Dunwoody
What’s a service you provide that most members don’t know about?
A lot of members don’t know that we offer payroll and tax services through TimePlus Payroll. They can get large discounts on services related to payroll and tax filing. We also offer discounted unemployment insurance for members through the Unemployment Service Trust, where members can save up to 40-50% on unemployment insurance.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I have a Jack Russell named Esquire and I’m a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan.
E-A-G-L-E-S!
What do you like the most about your job as Membership Director?
I love working with the various types of people. There are so many fascinating people doing fascinating things, and I love that I get to see and be involved with that. I love that I can make a direct impact on the lives of nonprofits and individuals.
