GCN is on a journey inspired by our belief that nonprofits are essential components of a healthy democracy and thriving communities, and by our conviction that strong nonprofits working together can achieve anything they desire.
Over our short twenty-year history, we have been busy building a strong foundation consisting of a stellar brand supported by the credibility of our thought leadership, the value of our products, the innovative spirit of our people, and the powerful leverage created by our partner network. If the past decade has been about gathering kindling, our next will be about igniting a wildfire, for we have a bold vision for what our community can achieve through collective action and for the role our organization can assume in propelling that vision forward.
Our vision is to make Georgia nationally recognized as a center for nonprofit impact and innovation, containing premier organizations and compelling leaders who, by delivering value with excellence, exponentially contribute to our citizen’s quality of life and to the economic wellbeing of the state; and by doing so, they operate in an environment that is fully supportive of their work.
To accomplish this, the Georgia Center for Nonprofits will be the place that nonprofits turn to for information and resources to improve performance; the credible voice protecting and advancing sector interests; the source of thought leadership and solutions that facilitates a state-of-the-art nonprofit environment and catalyzes collective impact.
Our new journey is bold. It is sparked by the potential of the nonprofit sector to deliver
even greater impact, and is fueled by our own desire for sustained impact and growth. Our ambition is simple, we will create the most effective nonprofit sector in the country, and we will create the most effective center for nonprofit performance and innovation in the country.
Our goals are also straightforward. We will create high performing organizations that create great value; we will drive nonprofit adaptability and systemic innovation for sustained impact; we will align and leverage the power of our network to catalyze a unified environment of support for the work and worth of nonprofits; and we will inspire our people to invest themselves in building, not just a resource, but an indelible asset for our community and for the sector.
Ultimately, our journey will be propelled by people with vision and talent, who have a burning desire to excel and who value nonprofits as essential to who we are as a society.
