Call for Nominations: The Evelyn G. Ullman Innovative Leadership Award
Atlanta, GA - 3/31/2006 -
The Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN) today announced that it is accepting nominations for the first-ever Evelyn G. Ullman Innovative Leadership Award. The award, which will be given on June 7 at the Georgia Nonprofit Summit, will honor a nonprofit chief executive from Georgia who has shown innovation and strategic leadership in addressing a community issue.
The recipient's organization will receive a check for $15,000, made available by the Evelyn G. Ullman family, which has committed $75,000 to the awards program. The award will go to a single leader every other year for the next 10 years.
The deadline for nominations is April 14 at 5:00 p.m. Selection criteria and nomination materials are available online at http://www.gcn.org/UllmanAward.aspx.
About Evelyn G. Ullman
An Atlanta resident for much of her life, Evelyn G. Ullman is a long-time supporter of Georgia’s nonprofits—having been a volunteer, donor, and leader. Among her accomplishments is development of Jerusalem House, a program for homeless men, women and children with AIDS.
