15th Annual Georgia Nonprofit Summit Set for June 7th
Atlanta, GA - 4/20/2006 -
On Wednesday, June 7, leaders from Georgia’s nonprofit, business and government sectors will meet in Atlanta for the 15th annual Georgia Nonprofit Summit. Presented by the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, the Summit will feature programs that address nonprofits’ management and leadership issues. Diana Aviv, president and CEO of Independent Sector, will deliver the keynote address.
Eighteen workshops will cover current trends, innovative management practices and important policy issues for nonprofits. Topics include:
· Understanding and fostering nonprofit leadership
· The changing nature of philanthropy
· Encouraging strategy at the board level
· Innovating nonprofit fund-raising and marketing
· And more
Other highlights include a panel discussion, “Nonprofit Leadership: The Power of You,” on the changing leadership needs of nonprofits; one-on-one consulting clinics; a keynote address by Diana Aviv of Independent Sector; and presentation of the first-ever Evelyn G. Ullman Innovative Leadership Award.
