Teresa Heinz Kerry to address nonprofit leaders
Georgia Nonprofit Summit: June 1
Atlanta, GA - 5/01/2005 -
The Georgia Center for Nonprofits will hold its annual Georgia Nonprofit Summit on June 1 at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta. Workshops, presentations and other programs will focus on developing and strengthening leadership within the nonprofit sector. Teresa Heinz Kerry, chair of the Heinz Family Foundations, will deliver the keynote address.
Highlights include 18 workshops covering trends, practices and policy issues for nonprofits; a presentation by Paul Light, senior fellow at the Brookings Institution; and issue roundtables led by community leaders.
Planners of the event expect 700 attendees, including nonprofit, business and government leaders from across the state.
Event sponsors include The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Bank of America, the Coca-Cola Company, Delta Air Lines, Humana, OpportunityKnocks.org and WordOne.
