2009 CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

THE GEORGIA CENTER FOR NONPROFITS ANNUAL REVOLUTIONS AWARDS

Atlanta, GA - 1/12/2009 -

The Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN) announces that it is accepting nominations for the annual Revolutions Awards. 

The award, which will be given on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the Georgia Nonprofit Summit, will recognize revolutionary leaders and organizations within Georgia’s nonprofit sector and celebrate them—while inspiring and motivating others.

The Revolutions Award will be awarded for two categories:
• Outstanding Nonprofit Organization (one award)
• Outstanding Nonprofit Leader (one award)

The 2008 Revolutions Awards featured winners Alana Shepherd
for her leadership in establishing Shepherd Center, the country’s largest catastrophic care hospital specializing in the treatment of people with spinal cord injuries, and MedShare International for transforming communities as a leading medical surplus recovery organization.

The deadline for 2009 nominations is Friday March 6, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.  Selection criteria and nomination applications are available online at
