Atlanta, GA - 1/30/2008 -

The Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN) announces that it is accepting nominations for the annual Revolutions Awards.

The award, which will be given on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Georgia Nonprofit Summit, will recognize revolutionary leaders and organizations within Georgia’s nonprofit sector and celebrate them—while inspiring and motivating others.

The Revolutions Award will be awarded for two categories:

  • Outstanding Nonprofit Organization (one award)
  • Outstanding Nonprofit Leader (one award)

The 2007 Revolutions Awards featured winners Rabbi Joshua Lesser for his leadership in establishing The Rainbow Center and The Auditory-Verbal Center for introducing a life changing communication method.

The deadline for 2008 nominations is Friday March 14 at 5:00 p.m.  Selection criteria and nomination applications are available online at
